The Nantucket Conservation Foundation is a private, member-supported organization that relies on generous contributions by friends and supporters to fulfill its mission – the preservation and protection of Nantucket’s open spaces.
As an annual member, you will receive: a Foundation Properties Map, membership decal, all Foundation newsletters and publications and invitations to attend Mornings For Members guided walks on the Foundation’s properties. But most importantly, you will share in the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped to ensure that Nantucket’s open spaces and natural habitats will be preserved – forever.
The Colleagues of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation was founded in 1990 to acknowledge those individuals who have demonstrated, through their regular and substantial annual support, a deep commitment to the Foundation’s work. Privileges of Colleague level membership include invitations to special guided events to explore our properties and expand their knowledge about the natural resources they are helping to protect. Colleagues are also invited to meet with the Foundation’s officers, members of the Board of Trustees, and the NCF Advisory Council at informal social gatherings during the summer.
Participation in the Colleagues is open to those who contribute $1,000 or more based on their total giving within a single fiscal year (January 1 - December 31). To become a Colleague level member or to renew your Colleague membership, please click here.

Give someone the gift that will last forever – the gift of open space.
Do you know anyone who cares for Nantucket as much as you do? A gift membership to the Foundation is a great way to celebrate your common commitment to preserve open spaces and natural habitats for rare and endangered species on the island. Each membership comes with a subscription to the Foundations Newsletters and publications, property map, membership decal and invitations to the Mornings for Members walks in the summer.
As a business owner, we are asking you to partner with us so that we can continue our work of preserving the unique character of the island not only for year round residents but also for our seasonal residents and visitors. With your help it will be possible for us to acquire new acreage, uphold our property maintenance standards and further our research in conservation science, all of which enable us to protect Nantucket’s exceptional and fragile ecosystems.
Junior memberships are wonderful opportunities to get children under the age of 18 involved in the Foundation at an early age. Not only do Junior Members receive an embroidered backpack upon enrollment but, more importantly, they are invited to participate in our FIELD (Find, Investigate, Explore, Learn and Discover) Day outings on Foundation properties during the summer. It’s a great way for kids to become involved, meet other children and learn more about Nantucket and its environment- all in a fun and enjoyable way.
