Exploring Salt Marsh Restoration and Oyster Reef Resilience with the NCF Science Staff

Part of the 2022 Nantucket Biodiversity Initiative Science Showcase

A tour into the Salt marsh to learn about a long-term and large scale salt marsh restoration success story. We will then follow as the story evolves with climate change and recent restoration efforts including building MA’s first oyster castle-based oyster reef for coastal resilience.

We will be walking in the salt marsh and attendees will need shoes that can get muddy and wet. Rain boots preferred. Long pants and sleeves recommended due to sharp plants and possible bugs!
