Arthur A. Gosnell
Arthur Gosnell has been involved with the Nantucket Conservation Foundation since 1998 when he joined the Board of Trustees.
His love for Nantucket and what makes it special began decades earlier during his summers on island as a child. Over the course of his summer visits to the island, he had the opportunity to live on different parts of the island.
Some of his fondest memories of his earliest summers on Nantucket are of day boat picnics to Smith’s Point and Coatue on foggy days with his family on a 17 ft whaler. “Nantucket, and all of the conservation land on island, hold a special place in my heart and I’m honored to lead the board of Trustees of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation,” he said.
Arthur has served as treasurer for the Foundation for the past 10 years. In addition to his dedication to NCF, Arthur serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stonehurst Capital Inc, which he founded in 1990. Arthur also serves as trustee for Rochester Institute of Technology; The Fessenden School of West Newton, MA; Rippowam Cisqua School of Bedford, NY; Adirondack Nature Conservancy and Land Trust in Keene Valley, NY; and Windward School of White Plains, NY. He received a BA from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
When not enjoying Nantucket’s open space, Arthur resides in North Salem, NY with his wife Page.
