This walk moves through both upland and lowland areas with vernal pools and permanent wetlands.  Many tree species can be seen in this area including many tupelo and sassafras trees.  There is also a marked trail with an interpretive map available.  This walk is about 1.75 miles over a mildly hilly trail.

Directions: From the Rotary, follow Polpis Road approximately 5 miles and turn left on Wauwinet Road. Follow Wauwinet Road approximately 1.5 miles and the parking area will be on your right. It is just after you pass Pocomo Road and will be marked with an orange traffic cone.
