F.I.E.L.D. Days are ways for children, ages 4-12, and their parents to learn more about Nantucket's open spaces and conservation all in fun, outdoor settings with the guidance of knowledgeable Foundation staff.

Head of the Plains (Madaket)
9:30am - 11:00am
For children ages 4-12
(All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.)
FIND OUT... What a sandplain grassland is and why this property is so special
INVESTIGATE...What animals, insects and birds live on the plains and on the beaches
EXPLORE...The beach, grasslands and forests
LEARN.... About all of the different things that our scientists are studying on the property
DISCOVER....One of the most beautiful and little used beaches on Nantucket
Activities will be led by Middle Moors Ranger Allen Reinhard and resident naturalist Len Germinara.
Head of the Plains is a 25 minute drive from the Rotary. Please plan accordingly.

·Junior Membership:Parents may also sign their children up for an NCF Junior Membership ($25).First time Junior Members will receive an embroidered backpack.Children renewing their memberships will receive a new Junior Member patch.
